Getting a Brazilian wax is undoubtedly among the more - ahem - personal beauty treatments you can experience in a salon.
If you need a refresher on beauty treatment terminology, this specific hair removal procedure removes most or all of your pubic hair, so you can imagine the waxer must be quite familiar with the situation down there.
One woman certainly discovered this in an unexpected way when she received a surprising text after her first Brazilian wax, leaving her absolutely shocked.
Sarah Button, from Australia, took to social media to share her experience. The waxer started by using a term of endearment 'hun' for the 27-year-old before revealing why she would be charged an additional $10 for her next visit.

"Just in [the] future, I’ll need to charge you a bit more due to the size of the area," the waxer explained. "I hope you understand, nothing excessive, just an extra $5 or $10."
Screenshots of the text exchange showed Sarah replying 'no worries', but it's apparent that she is not entirely comfortable with how she was treated.
Sarah, who has previously mentioned on social media that she has a 'fatty upper pubic area', told Tyla how the situation has made her hesitant to book another wax in the future.

Discussing the appointment and whether she felt judged, Sarah assured that it was 'fine' and that the waxer was 'really nice'.
"The whole appointment was super chill. I usually can tell when something is off, but I didn't sense anything, and now I'm questioning myself even more," she added.
After receiving the unsettling text, Sarah and the waxer had a 'phone call' after she informed her younger sister about what had happened.

"We had a phone call because I told my little sister, and my sister was quite upset, so the waxer called me to discuss when I’d like to book again, saying it was a misunderstanding," Sarah recalled, before adding: "But was it really a misunderstanding? I said no and hung up."
When asked if she agreed with the waxer's rationale for charging more, Sarah told Tyla: "I don’t agree because it wasn't mentioned when making a deposit or during the appointment.
"I can see some logic in comments suggesting more product costs more, but that should be clear in the pricing from the start if that's the case.

"Also, it's just a bit rude. It really hurt my feelings."
Understandably, the incident has discouraged Sarah from future wax appointments, as she shared: "It took a lot for me to convince myself to go initially, as I was worried about the awkward positions and all of that.
"I told myself it was all in my head, but now I have new fears. I've reverted to using sugar wax and a razor."
