Drake has finally shared the real story behind his six-pack selfie that went viral on social media back in June.
In case you missed it, the 38-year-old 'Headlines' rapper posted a sweaty photo on Instagram to his 142 million followers, flaunting his upper body. Some critics suspected these were 'fake abs'.
He captioned the mirror selfie: "I'm wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it until they get it right from the type who just… type."
Speculations about Photoshop and plastic surgery quickly filled the comments section, with one Instagram user asserting: "Drake is 100% the type of guy to buy abs."

"Ordered abs from Temu and forgot to add shoulders," another commented.
"What's amusing about this photo is that his pecs are so flat they resemble post-op top surgery scars when I take my glasses off, lmao," joked a third person, while a fourth criticized: "I don't understand why people do this. Fake abs never look good on anyone."
Another Instagram user added: "Honestly. This guy could hire a personal chef, a world-class trainer, and a gym buddy to achieve REAL muscle progress in the time it takes to recover from surgery. I don't get why people with his resources choose surgery over hard work."

In reality, all these theories were mere speculation.
Drake finally addressed the rumors during an appearance on Bobbi Althoff’s Not This Again podcast on Tuesday (2 September).
Bobbie asked the Grammy award-winner if he had undergone abdominal etching - a cosmetic liposuction procedure 'that targets the ab area to make it look more defined', according to Healthline.

"People believe you had a procedure done," she said, leading Drizzy to respond: "People also claim I got a BBL [Brazilian Butt Lift]. They call me 'BBL Drizzy.'"
"I don't know if my behind looked odd when I walked in here," he joked.
Drake eventually confessed to editing the photo, but his admission was far from what the critics imagined.
"I came from the gym, I was sweaty in that pic," he explained. "Maybe I increased the saturation or something on it."

"I think I went a bit overboard," Drake admitted. "They don't look like that."
Well, there you have it!
