Life presents us with many significant questions. Should eggs be stored in the fridge? Would anyone notice if I sneak another chocolate from the Heroes tin? Or do I truly need another shirt when my wardrobe is already overflowing?
Naturally, when you're puzzled by a pressing thought, where do you turn? To the internet, of course.
Websites like Reddit are often quick to tell you if you're being unreasonable, like getting upset with someone who frequently gets up to use the plane's toilet.
The latest hot topic on social media is the debate on whether 100 men could defeat a single gorilla. This debate has gained so much attention that experts are now weighing in.

As expected, opinions are varied. Some believe humanity could stand a chance if united, while others argue we would be doomed.
The debate has gained so much momentum that even Mr Beast has expressed interest in testing it. On X, he posted: "Need 100 men to test this, any volunteers?"
There were a few willing participants, including Elon Musk, who responded: "Sure, what’s the worst that could happen?"

However, primatologist Michelle Rodrigues has finally provided an answer, suggesting there might be hope for the 100 men willing to take on this challenge.
In an interview with the Rolling Stone, Rodrigues explained: "Despite the strength of gorillas and the damage their canines can cause, it’s not an even fight, and a sensible gorilla would likely try to escape.
"Considering the numbers, I doubt a gorilla stands much chance against 100 humans."

She further noted that gorillas, aside from being outnumbered, are generally not aggressive and choose their battles. In the wild, they are found in groups, making it rare to find one alone.
Wildlife conservationist Ron Magill shares a similar view.
He acknowledged that gorillas are indeed gentle giants, adding: "As a wildlife conservationist, I would never want this scenario to happen. This question shows that some people have too much free time and enjoy creating scenarios that fuel morbid curiosity."
Indeed, that's an understatement.

Despite his reservations, Magill noted that if all 100 men 'are committed and act in unity', the unthinkable might occur.
While it's not a pleasant scenario to consider, he added: "The group might be able to overpower the gorilla, inflicting enough blunt force trauma, severe twisting of the head and neck, and intense abdominal punches, leading the gorilla to eventually succumb to a broken neck, internal organ damage, or asphyxiation."
Naturally, we hope no one ever attempts such a feat.
